Aesha Scott revealed her engagement to boyfriend Scott Dobson – who she’s been seeing for four years.
The now-fiancé of the Below Deck Mediterranean star got down on one knee on a beach by her hometown in New Zealand earlier in May.
“Homunga Bay was my dream place to get engaged, but I had no idea it was coming and was totally surprised,” revealed Aesha to Us Weekly.
Scott hired Layla Kaisi (his girlfriend’s favorite jewelry designer) for the ring. Its center is a round-cut diamond, surrounded by a medley of diamond accents representing all of Aesha’s family members. The champagne accent diamond honors her late brother who passed away when the star was 20.
“Scott was so thoughtful and cared deeply about creating a piece that truly symbolized Aesha and his love for her,” shared the designer.
Scott and Aesha met each other in high school, but they didn’t reconnect until a decade later. They went public with their romance in 2020.
“This guy though 💕 I’ll go ahead and address the elephant in the room. Yes he is the blatantly more attractive/photogenic/talented at EVERYTHING side of this duo, but I feel like what I bring is a certain mysterious spice, especially when I do things like cry over two-minute noodles for no reason when I’m on my period,” she wrote on Instagram at the time, shortly after revealing the relationship. “So basically a power couple 💪🏼.”
In a past episode of the show, Aesha addressed her future plans.
“Scott and I have been together for over two years now, and we’re planning to buy a house in New Zealand,” she shared in the 2023 episode. “Because living in the converted ambulance has been lovely, but we would really like to poop in real toilets instead of in buckets. The next step in our relationship is flushing.”
