Marlo Hampton celebrated her nephew Michael’s 16th birthday in the Bahamas on Tuesday.
After sharing a series of photos and videos of her time at the Baha Mar resort, the Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member posted a clip of Michael dancing and showing off his fancy birthday cake at the carnival-themed event. She also shared a heartfelt tribute to him with her fans and followers.
“Happy 16th Birthday to my baby boy,” Marlo wrote in an Instagram Story post on June 27 that include a photo of Michael in a boxer’s uniform. “I had no idea that I needed you in my life… but the man up above did … Michael please continue to observe every situation, make decisions for yourself, be a leader, and be authentic in a world that [tries] so hard to make you follow the trend.”
“I will always have your back, cursing or cheering you along the way to Greatness, lol!!!” she continued, along with another boxing pic. “Keep bringing home the good grades… We love them straight A’s over here. Always be you, a crabby Cancer, moody, helpful, kind, thoughtful, greedy, goofy, and the calmest before the storm.”
“I LOVE YOU BLACK KING,” Marlo added.
During the festivities, Michael was met by dancers wearing colorful garb and carrying decorative pitchforks.
“We had a mini [Junkanoo] carnival in the [Marcus at Baha Mar Fish + Chop House] restaurant,” Marlo shared with one of her dancing clips. “Thank you [Baha Mar and Baha Mar Casino] events team for making it happen.”
In another post, Marlo said Michael was the “The King of [16]” as he showcased his three-tiered birthday cake, which was covered in fruit, including oranges, blueberries, pineapple, kiwi, and chocolate-covered strawberries.
As RHOA fans well know, Marlo has been caring for Michael and his brother, William, 14, in recent years due to her sister’s mental health challenges and legal troubles.
