Porsha Williams and Dennis McKinley are proving that family is forever.
In the four years since ending their second engagement, the former couple has managed to build and maintain a healthy relationship for their daughter, Pilar Jhena “PJ” McKinley. Fans got another look at the dynamic on Sunday, May 12, when The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom revealed the sweet — and very fancy — Mother’s Day gift she received from Dennis.
“Happy Mother’s day!!” Porsha captioned a photo of her and PJ in matching outfits. “My whittle blessing made me a mommy 5 years ago and still to this day the best thing to happen to me… Thank u [Dennis] for our dresses.”

The post showed the mother and daughter posing against a lush flower wall adorned with a “Happy Mother’s Day” sign. Porsha was seen in a Dolce & Gabbana yellow rose-print midi dress with open-toed heels, while PJ rocked the kid’s version of the design, which was paired with green low-top sneakers.
Although Dennis purchased the spring-ready dresses, Porsha credited the overall look to Sabah Essa, a style advisor at Neiman Marcus Atlanta.

Dennis McKinley pays tribute to Porsha Williams on Mother’s Day
Dennis reshared one of the photos on his Instagram page, where he also posted a heartwarming tribute for his mom, grandma, and Porsha.
“[Mother’s Day] Nothing is better, Nobody is better, nobody is more important than a mom,” he captioned the May 12 carousel. “A mothers job is never done & these 3 women thru their hard work, sacrifice and loyalty have made me a much better man than I could ever dream to be. Thank you.”
The post began with Porsha’s 2019 Rolling Out magazine cover, in which she donned a stunning yellow gown that showed off her baby bump. Eagle-eyed fans also spotted Porsha wearing the massive engagement ring she received from Dennis for their first engagement.
Porsha acknowledged the Mother’s Day shoutout in the comments section but had to use PJ’s page to leave the message.
“Thank you so much!” she wrote. “This is Porsha my page won’t let me comment [crying laughing face emoji].”
Porsha Williams files to divorce Simon Guobadia
The update came less than three months after Porsha filed to divorce Simon Guobadia. She married the Nigerian-American businessman in late 2022, about a year and a half after announcing their relationship. Porsha has remained tight-lipped on what prompted her decision to file, but fans anticipate to get more details when she returns to Bravo for RHOA Season 16.
“I’m incredibly thankful for the vision and faith NBCUniversal has put in me to be a larger part of their family,” Porsha said in a statement announcing her Housewives return. “I’m looking forward to being back on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and showing the world my new world!”
