Monica Garcia is pregnant with her fifth child.

While appearing on Nick Viall‘s podcast this week, the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City alum, 40, said she was “in shock” after learning that she and her 29-year-old mystery boyfriend were expecting their first child together — despite being “on birth control” when she found out.

“I literally went into urgent care for something totally unrelated that I thought was wrong, and the doctor came in and was like, ‘You’re pregnant,’” Monica recalled on the April 11 episode of The Viall Files, via Page Six. “I [was] like, ‘I’m 39! Like, there’s no way. I’m on birth control. By all means, I should not be pregnant.’”

While the pregnancy came as a surprise, Monica said her boyfriend, whose identity she did not reveal, has been an “incredible” support.

As RHOSLC fans may know, Monica already shares four daughters, including Bri, 18, Jaidyn, 13, West, 7, and Kendall, 6, with ex-husband Mike Fowler, and was granted full physical and legal custody, along with $6,000 per month in support, when they finalized their divorce last October.

Months after the settlement was revealed, it was reported that Mike had been arrested in 2021 after allegedly “slapping [his ex] across the face” in the presence of their oldest child and forced to serve 12 months probation.

As for Monica’s new man, she reportedly met the unnamed man during a season four scene with Heather Gay, 49. As she shared, the two of them exchanged numbers and met up at a later date.

In addition to expressing her interest in returning to RHOSLC, Monica, who appeared only on season four, recently received the support of singer Rihanna, 36, who told Interview magazine earlier this week that she feels she RHOBH-star-for-granted-and-reveals-if-she-thinks-monica-garcia-should-return-to-rhoslc/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>should be brought back to the cast.

“I mean, if Tom Sandoval can come back [to Vanderpump Rules], Monica should definitely be able to come back,” she stated.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season five is currently in production and expected to begin airing on Bravo sometime later this year.
